The site now speaks Hindi
A fifth language: Hindi
NewThe whole site now exists in Hindi, with India's flag in the language picker: the texts, the stories, the tools, the web book, the release notes, and more than 160 illustrations redrawn with their text in Devanagari. It's spoken Hindi, casual, like the rest of the site. Page addresses reuse the English ones, so they stay readable when you share them. A review by an Indian reader will follow, to fix whatever the translation missed.
Report a translation mistake from the chat
NewThe chat at the bottom right now recognizes a language issue: a badly translated sentence, a word left in French, or badly translated text inside an image. It only asks for what's missing (the language, the section link, the exact passage, and your fix if you have one), and the ticket lands on the roadmap with its own type, “Translation”. It also answers you in your language, and keeps your messages as they are so nothing gets lost along the way.
Every section of the home page can be shared
NewNext to the headphones, every section of the home page now has a button to copy its link. If you're signed in, your username is added as the referrer, like on the web book. That's also the link to paste into the chat to report a specific issue.
Official reviewers for each language
NewSome people now officially review one of the site's languages. They have a small beige badge next to their username everywhere on the site, and a tag with the language on their public profile. On hover, it says “Official reviewer” followed by the language. When I appoint someone, they get an email explaining how to send me corrections.
A profile description fits on one line
InterfaceLine breaks in a profile description were breaking the layout. They're no longer possible: a description is just text running on, and the ones that had line breaks now show on a single line.
