Ten free listens, and my voice to guide you
Ten sections to listen to for free, instead of one a month
NewWith a free account, you can now listen to ten sections in my voice, instead of just one a month. A section you've already listened to can be played again as often as you like, without counting. Playback moves from one section to the next like it does for subscribers, and a small notification tells you how many you have left. Once the ten are used up, the plans window opens, and I'm the one telling you, in my voice.
I talk to you when you need to sign in to listen to me
NewIf you click the headphones without being signed in, the sign-in window opens and I explain, in my voice, that you need an account to listen to me, that it's free and that it gives you ten sections to listen to. As soon as you sign in, the section you wanted to hear starts.
A bubble to show you the headphones button
InterfaceAs long as you've never listened to a section, a little comic speech bubble shows up next to the first headphones button on the page: « Can't be bothered to read either? ». It sits above or below the button depending on the space, on a computer as well as on a phone. « Never mind » keeps it quiet until your next visit, and it goes away for good after your first listen.
Reading progress moves below the story cards
DesignThe progress ring placed on the illustrations hid part of the drawing, sometimes even the title. It's replaced by a bar under each card, just above the date: one part per section, in the usual colors, and on the right where you're at (« 3/7 », « Read » or « Updated »). It's the same in the stories suggested at the bottom of each story.
The menu is on the web book cover too
InterfaceOn the web book cover, the menu button was missing next to the language and account buttons. It's there now, like on the other pages.
The beta label is back next to the logo
DesignSince the menu arrived, the « beta » label was only visible at the bottom of it. It's back at the top, next to the logo, so you can tell right away that the site is still being built.
